Pembroke Fire Department responded to a 3-acre brush fire on the edge of the Tucker Preserve on May 9. The fire was contained within two hours with no injuries or property damage.
Officials believe the fire was started by an illegal campfire. The area remains under a high fire danger warning due to dry conditions.
