The Pembroke Historical Society has opened a new exhibit titled “From Forest to Sea: Pembroke’s Shipbuilding Heritage” at the 1826 Schoolhouse Museum.
The exhibit features artifacts, photographs, and oral histories from the 19th century when Pembroke was a major shipbuilding center on the North River.
The Pembroke Garden Club’s annual plant sale on May 17 raised $3,800, which will fund two $1,900 scholarships for graduating seniors pursuing environmental or agricultural studies.
