The Department of Public Works will install new high-visibility crosswalks and speed humps near Pembroke Community Middle School and Hobomock Elementary beginning the week of May 19.
The improvements are part of the town’s Safe Routes to School initiative and were funded through a state grant. Flashing pedestrian signs will also be added at key crossings.
Parents and students are asked to use extra caution during construction.
