Pembroke Community Middle School has launched a free after-school tutoring program for students in grades 6–8, thanks to a grant from the Pembroke Education Foundation.
The program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00–4:30 p.m. and covers math, English language arts, and science. More than 45 students have already signed up.
Principal Kevin Murray said the goal is to close learning gaps and provide additional support in a low-pressure environment.
