The Pembroke Select Board voted unanimously Monday night to prioritize road repairs, public safety staffing, and school facility upgrades in the proposed FY2027 budget.
Town Administrator Sarah Kline presented a preliminary budget of $48.2 million, representing a 3.8% increase over the current year. The largest proposed increases are in the Department of Public Works for paving projects and the Police Department for additional officers.
Public hearings on the budget will be held May 20 and May 27 at Town Hall. Residents are encouraged to attend and provide input before the final vote at Annual Town Meeting in June.
